Gonzalo Bénard hat sich einmal durch die komplette Kreativszene studiert. Ob bildende Kunst oder Kunstgeschichte, er weiß was er tut. Als Chefredakteur des Cultural Centre of Belen in Lisabon und des Pavilion of Portugal in der ’95er Biennale in Venedig sammelte er die nötige Erfahrung, während seines 3-jährigen Aufenthalts in einer Malereischule eines tibetanischen Klosters lernte er die Feinheiten – seine Handschrift. Als er zurück nach Europa kam, begann Gonzalo zu fotografieren und findet darin heute seine Erfüllung.

Bénard zeigt uns nicht nur die selbstzerstörerische Seite unseres Selbst sondern auch eine fast mystische Epiphanie, die er durch die Kunst vermittelt. Düstere Bilder und kontroverse Botschaften machen seinen Stil so unverkennbar.
